Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lydia Sargent; brothers, James “Pete” Sargent, Lloyd “Curly” Sargent, Clinton “Mann” Sargent; and his daughter, Bonnie Rhodes.

Grandchildren, Kristen Kay Nichols of Louisville, KY; Dayna Shea Buckalew Wieghat and husband, Justin of Conroe; Blake Edwin Buckalew of Conroe; Brandon Lee Buckalew of Conroe; Blair Duffey Alger and Brooke Thomas Alger, both of Houston; Blaine Beck Alger of Conroe; and great granddaughter, Teagan Rylee Wieghat.
