They were married for 49 years and had two beautiful children.
Martha worked as a beautician for over 38 years in Willis, Texas before retiring.
She owned a skating rink in Houston and later when she moved to Conroe she worked for Flowers Baking Company.
Betty had a very green thumb, she could grow anything, she loved flowers, fruit trees and anything she could make a cutting of and stick it in the ground to see if it would grow! Virginia was a loving, gracious and calm person who enjoyed life and was always there to brighten the lives of others.
She was a prayer warrior, praying constantly for her family and friends. is survived by his loving family: wife, Sue Fielder; son, Jerry L. She is survived by her loving family who adored her: daughter, Lisa Ellis Testa and husband and loving son-in-law, John Testa; son, Keith Ellis and wife, Karen; sister, Doris Odell Mc Queen and husband, Al Mc Queen; brother, Bobby Parker; grandchildren, Cindy Lemus, Kathy Duke, James Ellis, Jr. He passed away peacefully on September 17, 2017 in Conroe at the age of 91. He lived a good life and his actions in life were truly inspiring.
She was part of a big network of prayer warriors across the United States. Fielder, 72, of Conroe, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at home. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Tressie Bailey and Emmer Calvert; brothers, Orville Fielder and Douglas Fielder. and granddogs, Charlee and Presley; seven great grandchildren as well as, a host of other dear family and friends that loved her dearly. Charles grew up in Etoile but over the years lived and raised his family in Houston and Conroe. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lydia Sargent; brothers, James “Pete” Sargent, Lloyd “Curly” Sargent, Clinton “Mann” Sargent; and his daughter, Bonnie Rhodes.
Grandchildren, Kristen Kay Nichols of Louisville, KY; Dayna Shea Buckalew Wieghat and husband, Justin of Conroe; Blake Edwin Buckalew of Conroe; Brandon Lee Buckalew of Conroe; Blair Duffey Alger and Brooke Thomas Alger, both of Houston; Blaine Beck Alger of Conroe; and great granddaughter, Teagan Rylee Wieghat.
Her most memorable trip was to Israel, she absolutely loved walking on the same path as Jesus and learning so many new things. and Rod Fielder; brother, Gary Fielder; sister, Selmer Pulliam; brother-in-law, David Mc Kown and wife, Donna; sister-in-law, Sharon Mitchell and husband, Sam; sister-in-law, Marilyn Mc Kown; many nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and friends also survive. There was nothing Virginia liked better than playing "trivia games" with her family and friends. ) She loved anything that would give her quality time with her family and friends. Sargent was born on March 23, 1926 in Etoile, Texas to James Eugene Sargent and Lydia Ophelia (Atkinson) Sargent.
Joyce is survived by her loving family: husband, Jerry Smith; Daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and James Rachel, Sheryl and David Valverde, Cynthia and Richard Kackley, Melissa Highberg and Kathie and Michael Brod; brother, Robert Friend; grandchildren, John, Jacob, Jarred, Jessica, David, Noah, Sean, Aaron, Andrew, Brandon, Alexander, Taylor and Madyson; many other dear relatives also survive.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at AM.
Numerous other dear nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as, other dear relatives and friends also survive. Friend Anglin will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at P. at Grangerland Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Foshee officiating. She passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 31, 2017 in Pasadena, Texas. Joyce was a woman with compassion for the environment; she had a green thumb and loved flower gardening. She also enjoyed reading, movies, bowling, and watching her favorite TV show, “The Golden Girls.” Some of Joyces’ other favorites were the music of Elvis and watching our “World Series Champions” The Astros play!
Interment will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery under the direction of Conroe Funeral Directors. Joyce was born on September 11, 1952 in Boliver, Texas to Edward W. Of all the things she did best, her love for her family was foremost.
